Et frivilligcenter skal værne om den enkelte borgeres anonymitet og har tavshedspligt i forhold til medlemsorganisationernes interne forholdNår et frivilligcenter er i besiddelse af personlige oplysninger om en borger, skal frivilligcentret udøve en tavshedspligt i lighed med andre frivillige sociale foreninger. Frivilligcentret skal ligeledes respektere og opretholde en fortrolighed over for de foreninger, som frivilligcentret samarbejder med, når det drejer sig om fx personalemæssige og økonomiske forhold.
Individuelle samtalerer en-til-en samtaler med en frivillig, hvis opgave er at være nærværende, lyttende og ikke dømmende. Hvem er vi? Selvhjælpsorganisationer er frivillige organisationer, der arbejder for at give alle nogen at tale med. Der er selvhjælpsorganisationer ca. 40 steder i landet. De frivillige er der, fordi de brænder for sagen, og de kan møde deltagerne uformelt og i øjenhøjde. Der er tale om hjælp til selvhjælp med støtte fra engagerede og nærværende mennesker. Selvhjælpsorganisationer, der er medlemmer af landsorganisationen Frivilligcentre og Selvhjælp Danmark, har forpligtet sig til at overholde kvalitetsgrundlaget. Vi har to fokuspunkter i kvalitetsarbejdet; dels metoder i vores tilbud til deltageren (afklarende samtaler, selvhjælpsgrupper og individuelle samtaler), dels udvælgelse og kvalificering af frivillige. En afklarende samtale Inden man starter i et samtaleforløb eller i en selvhjælpsgruppe, finder der en afklarende samtale sted.
